![]() ![]() So given all these myths, all these examinations of the possible… how can I not imagine more? How can I not envision an epic set somewhere other than medieval England, about someone other than an awkward white boy? How can I not use every building-block of my history and heritage and imagination when I make shit up?Īnd how dare I disrespect that history, profane all my ancestors’ suffering and struggles, by giving up the freedom to imagine that they’ve won for me. ![]() I haven’t even begun to explore the non-African stuff. He has no real purpose and he knows too much for the kraken to let him go. On Randall's side, he's sort of drifting now that he's no longer a hunter. Like, I said, there's dissension in the ranks and Rhea choosing Randall doesn't help that tension in the least. She has no idea how to court a human male since female kraken don't court and, as one of the rare females of her kind, the fact that she's choosing a human over a kraken isn't looked upon well by some. Randall's sudden introduction to their group and seeing how both Jax and Arkon have found the thing she didn't know she wanted leaves Rhea in an odd situation. Like Jax and Arkon, Rhea has been quietly accepting her loneliness. On the other hand, we also got to see more of the tension dividing the kraken clan and, hoo-boy, I don't think that's going to end well.īut let's talk about Rhea and Randall.
